Puerto Princesa Underground River

Heavy rains upon our arrival but nothing could stop us from getting inside. Haha.

Readyyy.

The lonely fish.

Sweet corns.

Tourists seem to be friendlier inside the cave.

One proof that God is everywhere.

The unsinkable ship

There are sooo many things that are must-see inside but was not able to get good and clear pictures of them. The tour inside the cave lasted for about 45 minutes.

“Good morrrning!” Finally, the sun was shining brightly when we got out.

The tourist spot is fully-booked until June 1. The local tourism only allows 900 tourists to visit a day. According to a local marine officer, they regulate the number of tourists getting in and out of the cave because the heat produced by our bodies tend to affect the existence of the stalactites in such a way that too much body heat may cause them to break. The cold temperature inside helps in prolonging their lifespan. On average, stalactites grow less than a millimeter per year. Can’t imagine how many years it took for these to grow this long!

The entrance

Rain’s aftermath.

This!

Happy. A wonder, indeed! ;)
